CIALL and Island Voices' burgeoning links with Welsh language interests have been greatly enhanced following the significant contribution by Ifor ap Glyn, National Poet of Wales 2016-2022, of a suite of new recordings in a range of genres, covering poetry, documentary narration, and unscripted authentic speech. These build on previous community language contributions in Jamaican and Gaelic from Audrey West and Martin MacIntyre. In addition to his bardic and television production skills, Ifor brings fresh ethnographic insights to offer in comparison and contrast with Gaelic experience (as exemplified in Saoghal Thormoid or Stòras Beò nan Gàidheal), particularly in relation to the links between diaspora and homeland communities.

Full details of Ifor's recording are available on the Island Voices site, and all the recordings can be directly accessed through online posters in landscape or portrait formats as preferred.
